Lock the device to SwiftCause

Prevent visitors from closing the donation page or accessing other apps. This is free and takes 2 minutes.

Samsung Knox Kiosk Mode (Free, built-in)

  1. Open Settings \u2192 Biometrics and security \u2192 Other security settings
  2. Tap Pin windows and toggle it ON
  3. Open Chrome and go to your SwiftCause donation page URL
  4. Tap the Recent apps button (square icon)
  5. Tap the app icon at the top of the Chrome card \u2192 select Pin this app
  6. The device is now locked to your donation page. To unpin, press and hold Back + Recent together.

Android Screen Pinning (Free, built-in)

  1. Open Settings \u2192 Security \u2192 Advanced \u2192 App pinning
  2. Toggle it ON. Optionally set \u201cAsk for PIN before unpinning\u201d
  3. Open Chrome and go to your SwiftCause donation page URL
  4. Tap the Recent apps button \u2192 tap the pin icon at the bottom of the Chrome card
  5. Done! The device is locked to SwiftCause. To unpin, hold Back + Recent (or enter your PIN).

Apple Guided Access (Free, built-in)

  1. Open Settings \u2192 Accessibility \u2192 Guided Access
  2. Toggle Guided Access ON
  3. Tap Passcode Settings and set a 6-digit passcode
  4. Open Safari and go to your SwiftCause donation page URL
  5. Triple-click the side button (or Home button on older iPads)
  6. Tap Start in the top-right corner
  7. The device is now locked to SwiftCause. To exit, triple-click again and enter your passcode.

  • Turn off auto-sleep
  • Connect to reliable Wi-Fi
  • Route charging cable neatly
  • Test a real donation first

  • Leave on battery power overnight
  • Place in direct sunlight
  • Use weak or guest Wi-Fi
  • Forget to lock the device
